A Steel Magnolia is not just about playing golf. She is about supporting our community and women's issues. She is about friendship and encouragement.
The Steel Magnolias was chartered in August 1998 as a chapter of the EWGA by 14 local business women - some are still active club members!
Our founder and first President, Sherry Stevens, now resides in Nashville, TN but it is worth mentioning that she and several of the other founding members did not know how to play golf when they started the organization!
The Steel Magnolias support all women who desire to play golf, regardless of her level of play.
